Anna L. Ragsdale

ELKHART- Anna L. Ragsdale, 77, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday March 5, 2017 at the Elkhart Hospice house. She was born November 13, 1939 in Lincoln, Illinois to the late Robert & Hazel (Heath) Hevelin. On August 8, 1958 she married Thomas E. Ragsdale. He preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son, Raymond Ragsdale and a sister, Doris Ellis. Surviving are two sons, Randal Ragsdale of Green Bay, WI, Randolph Ragsdale of Elkhart; three grandchildren, Jason Ragsdale, Jeremy (Jamee) Ragsdale, Thomas Ragsdale; four great-grandchildren, Zackary, Trenten, Anna and Eli Ragsdale. Also surviving is a brother, Russell (Helen) Hevelin of Georgia and two cousins, Jean (Jerry) McNamara and Neil Heath both of Green Bay, WI. Anna graduated in 1957 from Jimtown High School. She was a member of the Elkhart Church of God and enjoyed watching TV, especially NASCAR, wrestling, the Wizard of Oz and the Academy Awards. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Pastor Justin Moore from the Elkhart Church of God will preside and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
