Vicky L. Swoape

ELKHART- Vicky L. Swoape, 76, of Elkhart, passed away Friday August 31, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born March 4, 1942 in Elkhart to Donald L. & Billie J. (Buckles) Pocock. On December 17, 1970 in Elkhart she married Roy R. Swoape, Sr. He preceded her in death on February 5, 2011 in Goshen. Also preceding her in death were her parents, who both passed away in 1984 and her son Danny Frederick who passed away in 1998. Surviving are 5 children, John Catalino and his fiancée Vickie Lynn Woltman of Marcellus, MI, Steve (Kelly) Catalino of Goshen, IN, Roy (Jill) Swoape, Jr. of Portage, MI, Mikel Frederick of Wolcottville, IN, Damon (Nichole) Swoape of Elkhart. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, Nichole, Seth, Anthony, Stephanie, Noah, Melissa, Emily, Carly, Zach, Sara, Brandon, Jessi, Brock, Colin, Christopher, Ciara, Casey and Brody; 9 great-grandchildren and a sister, Christy (Ledger) Krupp of Edwardsburg, MI. Vicky enjoyed spending time with her family and she also loved her cats. She retired from Vincent Bach after 33 years of service. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 pm. Tuesday and from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. A celebration of her life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 5, 2018 at the funeral home. Pastor Ron Bowman from Trinity on Jackson will preside and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
