Stephanie "Taffy" Wuthrich May 11, 1946 - September 27, 2018 ELKHART-Stephanie "Taffy" Wuthrich, 72, of Elkhart passed away Thursday September 27,2918. She was born May 11, 1946 in Bluffton, Indiana to the late Richard Brickley & Norma (Lehman) Brickley McCoskey. On November 4, 1967 she married Timothy Wuthrich. He preceded her in death on November 2, 1999. Surviving are 3 children, Wendy L(Charlie) Renard, Cherilyn L Cripe, Timothy Jason Wuthrich all of Elkhart; 3 grandchildren, Sydney, Edward "Edj" and Declan. Also surviving is a brother, James Brickley of Elkhart and a sister, Melody Kischkau of Angola, IN. "Taffy" as she was known graduated in 1964 from Northside High School in Ft.Wayne, IN. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, gardening, re-finishing furniture, playing the piano, but most of all she was a huge advocate for Autism. She was instrumental in Michigan getting rules passed for self-container classrooms for children with autism. "Taffy" worked as a beautician and was the owner of Dollars & Cents in Elkhart, but most recently was a homemaker. A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday October 6, 2018 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the service. Cremation has taken place at Elkhart Cremation Services. Memorial contribution may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
