Scott Lemon September 1, 1958 - June 7, 2019 ELKHART- Scott Lemon, 60, of Elkhart, passed away on Friday June 7, 2019 from injuries he suffered from an automobile accident on S.R. 15 in New Paris, Indiana. He was born September 1, 1958 in Charleston, West Virginia to Denver & Lois J. (Cook) Lemon. On June 3, 1977 in West Virginia he married Russha "Lynn" Means. She survives along with a daughter, April (Billy) Aistrop of Elkhart; 5 grandchildren, Bridget (Zack) Kelly of Edwardsburg, Blake Wogoman of Elkhart Lacey (Larry) Workman of Harts, WV, Scott Ellis of Elkhart and Keagan Beasley of Putman County, WV; 4 great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Workman, Brynlee Workman, Stetson Workman and Avery Kelly. He was preceded in death by his father, Denver Lemon, his mother, Lois J. Skidmore, a daughter, Sherry Beasley and a sister, Lisa Jett. Scott was a US Navy veteran and was employed as a granite counter installer for Leading Edge Counter Tops in Milford, Indiana. Scott was an avid Harley rider, he loved his sheltie, Harley and was a member of the local Michiana Elkhart HOG chapter for many years. He also was an avid skydiver and was a jump master for many years. He loved the outdoors and spent lots of time enjoying outdoors activities. A gathering of family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday June 13, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home where the US Navy Honor Guard and the DAV Chapter #19 Color Guard will render military honors at 5:00 p.m. After the military honors there will be a time to share memories and read stories. Cremation will follow the service at Elkhart Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be given to the Indiana Sheltie Rescue.
