Sara J. Siler

Sara J. Siler, 88, passed away March 18, 2019 at Eastlake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 27, 1930 in Elkhart to Lewis & Meril (Copenhaver) Goldy. On August 16, 1947 in Elkhart she married Otto Siler; he preceded her in death on December 3, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 1 son, Richard Siler, 7 siblings, Dorothy Snedaker, Robert Goldy, Frederick "Bud" Neal, Kenneth Goldy, Louie (Mary) Goldy, Geraldine Owens and May (Grover) Croslin. Surviving are 2 children, Judy Siler, Douglas (Belinda) Siler, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Sara worked at Durkool for 17 years and Needlecraft for 5 years until her retirement. She was a member of Bethany Missionary Church and in her spare time enjoyed; reading, puzzles, cooking, mushroom hunting and having cookouts with the family. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Friday, March 22, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Presiding will be Ricky Raspberry and burial will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Riley's Children's Hospital.
