Ryan James Ferris, 36, passed away August 9, 2018 at Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis, IN. He was born January 11, 1982 in Evanston, IL to Roy & Linda (Zavodny) Ferris. On May 2, 2015 in Goshen he married Megan Tegtmeier; she survives along with a son, Silas, his parents and his brother, David Ferris. Ryan's passion in life was to be a loving husband and devoted father. He honored Christ by being an active member of Pine Ridge Bible Church, where he was a Deacon and an AWANA leader. Ryan was homeschooled from K-12, participated in 4-H and was employed in R & D at Lippert. In his spare time he liked studying History, Theology, playing fantasy football, ultimate frisbee, listening to music and was an avid Chicago Bears fan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 4 p.m. service Thursday, August 16, 2018 at McCoy Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery and presiding will be Pastor Edward Arnold from Pine Ridge Bible Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Fair Haven Foundation, which provides housing for transplant patients and their families.
