Rodney W. Robbins March 29, 1950-July 20, 2019 ELKHART-Rodney W. Robbins, 69, passed away July 20, 2019 at his home. He was born March 29, 1950 in Mason, MI to William & Audrey (Krey) Robbins. On August 26, 2000 he married Irene (Hamilton) Burkett; she survives along with his mother, 2 sons, Tracy, and Toby, 3 stepsons, Clarence (Tammy), Roger and Jeff. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Connie, Sheri, Kandis, step grandchildren, Michael, Caitlin, Crystal, Christy, Destiny, Bailey, Shyann, Megan, step great-grandchildren, Serenity, Savannah, Shaniyah, Ashton, Alexea, Rue, Rozylynn, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father and stepdaughter, Anna (Henderson) Lane. Rod proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during Vietnam. He lived his life cheerful and selfless while caring for Irene, whom have been together over 30 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with all his grandchildren. He had a great talent for his hobby in woodwork. He was self-employed doing siding for many years and retired from Days Corporation. Rod will always be remembered for his witty personality and his love and devotion towards his family. He will truly be missed by all of them! Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 4 p.m. celebration of life service Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd. Elkhart, IN 46516.
