ROBERT STERLING GANYARD September 24, 1953 - September 10, 2018 ELKHART- Robert Sterling Ganyard, 64, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday September 10, 2018 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart. He was born September 24, 1953 in Pittsburgh, PA to Corless Wade & Edith Ann (Bradley) Ganyard. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are 2 daughters, Heather (Spencer) Robbins of Leesburg, VA, Erica (Ian) Bernadas of New Orleans, LA; a granddaughter, Samatha Robbins of Leesburg, VA; his mother, Edith Ann Ganyard of Elkhart and 2 siblings, John (Cristi) Ganyard of Elkhart and Diane Lindsey of Kentucky. Robert was a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church in Zionsville, IN. He found peace when sailing and purpose when helping those that he felt needed it most. In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place.
