Phyllis D. Hehman

Phyllis D. Hehman, 84 passed away August 15, 2018 at the Center for Hospice Care in South Bend. She was born December 25, 1933 in Elkhart to the late Ralph & Ida (King) Holycross. Surviving are 3 children, William (Tammie) Yoder, Dirk (Diane) Hehman, Denise (Randy) Landis, 3 granddaughters, Alyssa Hehman, Mara (Levi) Wittkopp and Jadyn Hehman. Also surviving are 4 siblings, Wilson Holycross, Ralph (Pam) Holycross, Patricia (Mort) Tomson and Janice (Jim) Truex. Phyllis enjoyed volunteering and helped at such places as Suzanna's Kitchen, YMCA and Heart City Healthcare. She was also a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Throughout the years she bowled on several leagues at Oakland and also enjoyed bird watching. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at the Center for Hospice Care for everything they did for Phyllis. Visitation will be held Friday, August 24, 2018 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home from 1-3 p.m. with the celebration of life service beginning at 3 p.m. Presiding will be Pastor Jennifer Weaver from Calvary United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at a later date in Rice Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to the Center for Hospice Care or Calvary United Methodist Church.
