Penny Lynn Norwood

ELKHART- Penny Lynn Norwood, 57, of Elkhart, passed away Friday January 25, 2019 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born July 26, 1961 in Point Pleasant, West Virginia to Clifford & Patricia (Herdman) Smith. On July 3, 2008 in Elkhart County she married Scott Norwood. He survives along with 2 children, Denita Wentworth of Elkhart and Patricia Lynn Neal; 1 grandson, Blaydon Kitch; her mother Patricia Roell of Elkhart; Kitch; 3 step children, Jessica Bonds of Colorado, Tommy Norwood of Canada and Jamie Perry. Also surviving are numerous step grandchildren and 5 siblings, Lisa (Danny) Riffle of Elkhart, Paul (Brenda) Roell of Elkhart, Sally (Bob) Fisher of Mississippi, Elizabeth Stewart of South Bend and Tammy Fergison of Anderson, IN. She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Smith, step father, Paul A. Roell and step daughter Samantha Norwood. Penny was a housewife and she enjoyed doing crafts and playing computer games online. Funeral services for Penny will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday January 30, 2019 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Ritchie will preside and burial will follow in Olive (East) Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service.
