Marla J. Borem

ELKHART- Marla J. Borem, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday March 30, 2019 at her home. She was born January 6, 1951 in Elkhart to Lowell & Rheba (Replogle) Wagner. On April 17, 1971 in Elkhart she married Larry Lee Borem. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2009 in Elkhart. Also preceding her in death were her parents, and 2 brothers, Lowell Thomas Wagner and John Irvin Wagner. Surviving is her daughter, Laura C. (Larry) Walker of Elkhart; 2 step daughters, Tina (Bruce) Lewis of Howe, IN, Pamela Thomas of Elkhart; 3 grandchildren, Brandan (Joyce) Roberts, Breanna Roberts and Joshua (Athena) Roberts all of Elkhart. Also surviving are 4 great-grandchildren, Madisyn, Adrianne, Seth, Paislee; 5 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; a brother, William R. Wagner of Elkhart and her fur baby "Sadie Sue". Marla graduated in 1969 from Elkhart High School. She enjoyed camping, loved watching the TV show Blue Bloods and spending time with her friends from work and her family. Her greatest joy was spending time with her great grandchildren who called her "Gi Gi" and she will be dearly missed by all, especially her daughter Laura. Marla worked at the Kent Company for 24 years and retired in 2016 from CTS Corporation. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services for Marla will be held at 11:00 a.m. On Wednesday April 3, 2019 at the funeral home. Pastor Gary Gaskill will preside. Marla will be buried next to her husband in Rice Cemetery.
