Linda A. Whitson

Linda A. Whitson, 72, formerly of Elkhart, Ind., died of natural causes on Wednesday, Oct. 3 at St. Joseph's Nursing Home in Kenosha, Wisc. She was born Aug. 26, 1946 in Elkhart to Charles and Phyllis (Shupert) Diley. She married Robert Whitson on Nov. 19, 1995. Linda is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (James) Wing Snyder of Pleasant Prairie, Wisc., two aunts and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a sister, Barbara. Linda graduated from Elkhart High School in 1964, and from Ball State University in 1968. She was employed for more than 35 years at Bayer Corporation where she worked in human resources and other administrative roles. Linda loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, and was an avid reader. She loved gathering with family and friends and especially enjoyed playing competitive card games. Visitation will be Sat., Dec. 1, 2018 at 11 a.m. ET at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home at 700 East Jackson Blvd. in Elkhart, followed by a celebration of life service at 1 p.m. ET.
