Josephine E. Nichols

Heaven gained an angel December 6, 2018 when Josephine E. Nichols, 81, passed away. She was born August 4, 1937 in Detroit, MI to Douglas & Margaret (Ondo) Payne. She married Melvin Nichols; he preceded her in death along with her parents, 2 sons, Warren Nichols, Charles Nichols and a brother, John Payne. Surviving are 7 children, Fred (Noreen) Heiser "Grant Nichols", Gordon Nichols, Sondra (Dawn) Nichols, Roger Nichols, Scott (Janice) Nichols, Carol Nichols and Jack (Hazel) Nichols. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren 2 sisters, Margaret Aller and Anna Lehman. Josephine was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and in her spare time she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing cards. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Additional visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 11 am funeral service Thursday at the funeral home. "We love you Mom and will dearly miss you" your children.
