ELKHART- Jeffery L. Fickert, 53, was involved in a motorcycle accident on September 21, 2017 which led to his passing on June 6, 2018 at his home in Elkhart. He was born March 12, 1965 in Celina, OH to Jerry Fickert and Brenda (Hicks) Fickert. He was preceded in death by his mother Brenda Rose and step-mother who raised him, Susan Fickert. Surviving is his father, Jerry Fickert, 5 children, Monique (Destin) Warren, Robert (Whitney) Fickert, Greg Edwards, Kaleigh Hewitt, Michael Fickert, 7 grandchildren, Logan, Juliahna, Sophia, Grayson, Carter, Shilin, and Laya. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Felicia (Dan) Michnick, Jessica Fickert, 3 brothers, Barry Fickert, Mike Ruth and Mike Fickert. Jeff worked at Champion Home Builders and in his spare time liked Music, Bowling, Nascar and riding his Harley. A celebration of life service will be held Monday, June 11, 2018 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home at 6 p.m. There we will honor Jeff's saying "Live Free and Die Young".
