Frances S. Osowski

Frances Sarah Osowski, 89, went to be with Jesus her Savior November 18, 2017 with her daughters by her side. She was the seventh of nine children born to Italian immigrants, Gennaro & Carmela (Bibbo) Petriella on September 26, 1928 in Elkhart, IN where she lived her entire life. She was a telephone operator for General Telephone for 42 years before retiring in 1987. During this time and for years after she helped with the family business, A & R Wastewater Management. Francie spent most of her life taking care of her family. Most dear to her heart were faith, family, and heritage. Whenever anyone stopped by she would drop whatever she was doing to make special time just for them and offer them a plate of pasta whether they were hungry or not. Frances married Arthur B. Osowski on June 10, 1950 who preceded her in death on August 21, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Joseph Osowski, and 8 siblings; Theresa, Mary, George, Rose, Jane, Edith, Anthony and Joseph. Surviving are daughters; Sandra Osowski, Diana (Greg) Miller, Sharon (Michael) Reilly, Karen (Kyle) Farmer, 9 grandchildren; Mark & Paul Casselman, Lucas & Jonathan Miller, Arthur Shane Osowski, Carissa McCuen, Jacob Osowski, Liam Reilly, and Evan Farmer. Also surviving are 12 great-grandchildren; Ashleigh, Cortland, Tristan, Addison, Christian, Kiersten, Casey, Joseph, Rozlyn, Sullivan, Allura and Alaina. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church from 10-11am followed by a Mass. Father Jason Freiburger will preside and burial will be immediately following at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery. After which lunch will be served downstairs at St. Thomas Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
