Elizabeth "Betty" Holdeman January 9, 1932-March 27, 2018 ELKHART-Elizabeth "Betty" Holdeman, 86, of Union, MI went to be with her Lord on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart. Betty was born on January 9, 1932 in Union, MI as the daughter of Albert and Eva "Mildred" (Hart) Hoffman. They preceded her in death along with 3 sisters; Alice Binkley, Carolyn Salo and Mary Lou Chilik. On January 27, 1952, Betty married Paul L. Holdeman, Sr. He preceded her in death in May of 1986 She is survived by her son; Paul (Lisa) Holdeman, Jr., of Elkhart; a daughter Sandy (Jerry) DeCicco of Lombard, IL; 2 brothers, James Hoffman of Elkhart, David (Mary Ann) Hoffman of Henderson, NV; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty's primary job was farming alongside her husband. She was a school bus driver for the White Pigeon school system. In her spare time, she volunteered for many years on the Porter Township Ambulance. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, family, friends, fishing, hunting, turkey shooting and playing cards. The family will receive friends on Friday at the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home from 3-8 p.m. and on Saturday at the Chapel Hill Missionary Church in Union from 9:30 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 31, 2018 at the church. Pastor Benjamin Holdeman her grandson will preside and burial will follow in Plum Grove Cemetery in Union. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Porter Township Ambulance or Heartland Hospice. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
