GOSHEN-Leaann C. Kinneman, 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 24, 2024 at her home in Goshen.  She was born December 24, 1937, in Elkhart to Thomas & Elizabeth “Jane” (Williams) Monschein.

On November 19, 1973 she married Joseph Kinneman; he preceded her in death on October 16, 2008.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Thomas.

Surviving are 5 children; Lynee (Mark Wetzel) Walters, Janette Walters, Shelley (Bill) Williams, Amanda (Morrie Sanderson) Kinneman, Barton Kinneman, 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Elizabeth (Givil McGuire) Martin, Gretchen (Dave) Lowell, Richard “Rick” (Cathy Short) Monschein, special friends, Margaret Jacka, Jim & Judy Edmundson, and Nicole Borosh.

Leaann was a very hardworking woman, had her real estate license, and was the former owner of Leaann’s Salon, part owner in The Bulldog Saloon, and ALCO Tool.   She was considered as an Entertainer Extraordinaire by those who knew her.  She performed at the Bristol Opera House in Shocking Stocking and her annual Christmas/Birthday parties were truly magical due to the fact that she was an incredible host.  Leaann also enjoyed dancing, playing tennis, bowling, the Racket Club, and St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.

The family would like to give a special thank you to The Cottage Garden and Southern Care Hospice for their loving care.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2024 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery and a celebration of life gathering will follow at the Elkhart Moose Lodge starting at 4 p.m.
