JOHN W. KELLY

January 22, 1937 – June 6, 2026

ELKHART- John W. Kelly, 89, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday June 6, 2026, at East Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.  He was born January 22, 1937, in Sturgis, Michigan to John W. & Ann (Halsey) Kelly.

     On December 15, 1979, in Elkhart, Indiana he married Georgia D. Pendill.  She survives along with 2 sons, Monty (Kathleen) Kelly, Mark (Brittany) Kelly; 2 daughters, Aliza (Patrick) Reynolds, Amy Kelly; 6 granddaughters, 5 great granddaughters and 1 great grandson.  Also surviving are 2 sisters, Joan Hawkins, Susan (Ed) James and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Marty Kelly 1 sister, Laura Krick and 2 brothers, Bob and Bill Kelly.

     John retired from Martin’s Super Market where he worked in maintenance.  He was in the US Navy Reserves and enjoyed doing word puzzles, coloring and working in his garden.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday June 11, 2026, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday June 12, 2026, at the funeral home.  Pastor Jack Rorie from the Sanctuary in Osceola will render the service, and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
