ELKHART- Robert "Scott" Nicely, 50, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday October 12, 2017 at his home. He was born February 15, 1967 in Elkhart to Bill C. & Judy (White) Nicely, Sr. On December 23, 1989 in Elkhart he married Amy Lynn Stanifer. She survives along with 3 children, Trent (Kendra) Nicely of Osceola, Owen Nicely of Elkhart, Courtney (Danny Williams) Nicely of Niles; 3 grandchildren, Mariesa, Everett and Savannah; his mother and step father, Judy (Al "Skip") Strukel of Elkhart; a brother, Bill C. (Dawn) Nicely, Jr., of Goshen and sister, Cheryl (Adam) Rassi of Elkhart. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill C. Nicely, Sr.; a brother, Terry D. Nicely; and his grandparents, Robert & Edith White and William & Helen Nicely. "Scott" enjoyed music, bowling, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren who he dearly loved. He worked for the past 7 years at C & J Steel. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday October 17, 2017 at the funeral home. Pastor Carl Henry from the Northside Baptist Church will preside and cremation will follow.
