Novia K. Werno

ELKHART - Novia K. Werno, 82, passed away April 12, 2017 in Elkhart. She was born January 6, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Malcolm and Lucy (Frydenlund) Chellstorp. Novia worked as an administrator for Citizens Northern Bank and Heritage Financial for many years. She loved gardening and enjoyed spending time tending her flowers. Ms. Werno also celebrated her Scandinavian heritage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Novia is survived by her son, Thad Werno of Elkhart; grandchildren, Karina, Nicholas, and Christopher Janowsky, also of Elkhart; great-grandchildren, Logan and Lucas; sister, Lucy Lucking of California, and her brother, Frank (Marge) Chellstorp of Illinois. Ms. Werno was preceded in death by her daughter, Sharon Janowsky; grandchild, Danielle Janowsky, and her brother, Eric Chellstorp. There will be a Celebration of Life service for Ms. Werno held at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 1:00 pm with a visitation for friends an hour prior to service.
