Jeanette C. Maggart

ELKHART - Jeanette C. Maggart, 48, passed away on Fri. March 3, 2017 in Elkhart while surrounded by her family. Jeanette was born on May 29, 1968 in Elkhart to Jerry and Janet (Walters) Clark. Jeanette married Jerry Maggart in Elkhart on October 4, 1986. She and Jerry celebrated nearly 27 years together until his passing on Feb. 7, 2013. It was said that Jerry was the love of her life and that wherever he went, she would follow...and she has. Jeanette was a past member of the Elkhart Moose Lodge as well as the local DAV #19. She loved to play bingo. Her family and friends could count on her to take a bad situation and put her own twist on it to find the humor. In addition to her parents, Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Janis (Perry) Harris of Elkhart; brother, Jeff (Jill) Clark of Granger; sisters, Julie (Stanley) Stankovich and Jodi (Dave) Gilbert both of Elkhart, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Ms. Maggart's arrangements are entrusted to Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sat. March 18th from 11 am - 3 pm at the McNaughton Park Pavilion located at 701 Arcade Ave, Elkhart. Jeanette's family requests that donations be made in honor of her legacy to the Susan G.
